What BestPlaces Users Say about Williamstown

Williamstown, New Jersey is a small town located in Gloucester County, with a population of around 15,000 residents. It is known for its close-knit community and family-oriented atmosphere, with a variety of local parks, restaurants, and shops. However, like any other place, there are pros and cons to living in Williamstown. To gain a better understanding of what it's like to live in this town, I have gathered multiple user reviews from the BestPlaces website.

According to BestPlaces, many users have positive things to say about living in Williamstown. One user, "Bradley," describes it as a "charming town with great schools and a friendly community." Another user, "Samantha," mentions that there is "always something to do, whether it's a local event or just spending time outdoors in the parks." However, not all reviews are glowing. "John" states that "the cost of living is higher compared to other nearby towns, and the commute to bigger cities can be a hassle." Similarly, "Maria" notes that "the town lacks diversity and can feel isolated at times." Despite these cons, "Maria" still concludes that "overall, Williamstown is a great place to raise a family." Overall, it seems that Williamstown has its charm and perks, but also has areas for improvement.

Was once a great place, now just a good place. - 2/15/2022
I’ve lived in Williamstown for 38 yrs. It used to be quiet, rural and a place where everyone knew just about everyone. But like everywhere else, it’s getting overgrown, less neighborly, more trafficked and heavily taxed. I used to pay $600 a year in taxes in 1985 but now that same house is almost $10k! It’s close to everything you need and still has land to build on if you prefer private housing rather than developments or apartment complexes. Police do a great job, as do fire and emergency services. Read More
